Remembering Warmth

Was it really ever this warm? A beautiful 4th of July, laying in the sun with so many people I love. A spontaneous giant spa. Beautiful children rubbing our feet and backs.

May 3rd and the threat of snow at a 1000 feet, rain all weekend. My hands are cold all the time.

Sometimes in the mess you have to just find a quiet spot and some homemade jam.

It's spring time and that means burning. We spent a beautiful sunny day, the last it seems for awhile, hauling debris and keeping a bonfire going. Seems every year we start over. Dell says spring is about renewal and starting over. I would like so spend one spring leaving everything alone. Rowing over and lying on the dock in the sun.

The kitchen is expanding again, which means more walls down and Kate in tears, but just for a moment. Three months until the 4th.

Nature is winning the battle currently. But there is a new roof.
